⚠ FICA vetting is required before activation
South African law (the Financial Intelligence Centre Act) requires us to vet every supplier before activating them on the portal. This protects you, the dealers, and Fleetdeal from fraud and money laundering. Your account will be marked "pending" until vetting is complete.
Documents we'll ask for
- Company registration certificate (CIPC / CK / CoR)
- VAT registration certificate (if registered)
- SARS Tax Clearance Pin or recent Tax Compliance Status
- ID copies of every director, member or shareholder >25%
- Bank confirmation letter on bank letterhead
- Proof of business address (utility bill / lease, < 3 months old)
- If Premium: latest 6 months of bank statements + financials

Which suppliers should join?
Body builders (drop sides, canopies, tippers, tankers), parts suppliers (filters, tyres, batteries), service providers (tracking, alarms, signwriting, vehicle decals), and accessory specialists (bullbars, towbars, refrigeration units). If you sell to truck dealerships, Fleetdeal is for you.
Why do I need FICA vetting?
South African law requires it. The Financial Intelligence Centre Act applies to anyone facilitating commercial transactions between businesses. FICA vetting protects you, the dealers, and Fleetdeal from fraud, money laundering and identity theft. It's a one-off process for standard suppliers; Premium suppliers (with invoice funding) get re-vetted annually.
How does Premium invoice funding work?
When a dealer accepts your bid and confirms delivery / installation, Fleetdeal pays you within 48 hours on the Premium tier — even though the dealer's payment terms are 30 days. We carry the credit risk; you get cash flow. Subject to financial vetting and a per-supplier credit limit set at signup.
Can I change tiers later?
Yes, any time. Upgrades are immediate and prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing month. Cancel anytime with 30 days' notice — your data and bid history stay accessible read-only.
What if a dealer doesn't pay?
On Listener / Listed / Connect tiers: the dealer pays you directly under your own credit terms — Fleetdeal facilitates the deal but isn't a party to the payment. On Premium: Fleetdeal collects from the dealer; we've already paid you.
How do I get found by more dealers?
Listed and above are visible to all SA dealers on Fleetdeal. Connect adds marketing boosts (featured placement in supplier search, "verified supplier" badge). Premium gets top placement plus a "Premium partner" badge. The quality of your supplier profile (specialty tags, photos, service area, references) directly affects how often dealers invite you.
